Attorney since 1986. Neutral for last 10 years. Current ADR practice devoted exclusively to
mediations. Harvard trained. Executive Director of the National Institute
for Advanced Conflict Resolution. Attorney Settlement Officer for the
United States District Court, Central District. Attorney Settlement Officer for the Court of Appeals,
Fourth District. Active panel member on the Riverside County Bar Association's mediation
panel. Former member of both the Riverside and San Bernardino Superior Court's arbitration
panels. Extensive experience handling and mediating employment
disputes. In addition to having mediated employment disputes, Mr. Johnston
also has mediated the following types of cases: personal injury, sexual harassment, wage/hour, real estate,
commercial disputes, construction disputes, breach of contract, medical negligence, lemon law.
MEDIATION TRAINING - HIGHLIGHTS:
Hundreds of hours of legal seminars and training including the Harvard Law School Negotiation
Training Program and Pepperdine
University's acclaimed Mediation Training Program.
